if life gives you sour cherries

make cherry cobbler!

Some generous soul at my office brought in a bucket of sour cherries, which I had never seen fresh before (apparently they perish quickly, so are hard to find fresh, even where they are grown more commonly, as in the southern US). Lacking a pie pan, I made a cobbler with them this afternoon. I'll let you know how it went after Eric and I partake of it tonight.

glad to see you're reading the homesick restaurant, that portrait of familial bliss. enjoy!

matte -- yeah right! the cobbler was dusted in two evenings. last night eric was bemoaning the fact that there wasn't more, he got quite attached. am only barely into "homesick", but enjoying it so far!

Yum! Stephen and I are eating our way through a blueberry pie that I made from blueberries that we picked up at the farmers market. Fortunately, I have two more pie-worths of blueberries that I froze! :)

blackbearcabin -- I'm sorry, I got the recipe by googling sour cherry cobbler or something... and I no longer have the recipe written down.
